Module 1: Where are we now?

· An increased understanding of the role of school leaders

· An overview of some of the research developments in the field

· A clear plan of action linked to the ‘Educating for Equality’ criteria for schools

· Links with a network of other professionals

Module 2: Planning for staff CPD

· An understanding of the relevant terms and definitions

· An understanding of what an effective CPD programme for staff should look like

· Links to resources to use at school as part of your own, bespoke CPD programme

Module 3: Curriculum and Resource development

· An understanding of how to critically evaluate commonly used resources and texts

· Links to curriculum resources

Module 4: The local community

· An increased understanding of the role of the local community and other stakeholders in developing anti-racism and gender equality

Module 5: Policies and procedures

·  An increased understanding of how anti-racism and gender equality policies and procedures can have a positive impact on:

- The mental health and wellbeing of pupils and staff

- The recruitment and retention of staff

Module 6: Sharing the journey

·  A plan for sustainability and measuring the impact

·  The opportunity to share your journey so far and plan next steps with other schools enrolled on the programme
